Chats

AnonPaste direct messages are private one-to-one chats. Each pair of people has one active chat, so returning to the same person continues the conversation.

  1. Open Messages.
  2. Select New chat.
  3. Choose a person you have previously messaged or follow, or enter their username.
  4. Send your first message.

You can also copy your chat invite link from Messages and share it with someone you want to contact you.

Open a chat to write and send a message. Signed-in users can add supported image and video attachments.

Unread chats appear in the Messages list and notification area. You can manage notification choices in your account settings.

For information about privacy and recovery, see Chat encryption.

  • Delete message removes one of your messages for everyone. A deleted marker remains in the timeline.
  • Delete chat for me clears the chat from your own history only. The other person can still see their history. A later message starts the visible conversation again from that point.
  • Purge chat permanently removes user messages and attachments for both people. The chat and essential system notices remain.

Deletion cannot remove anything the other person has already saved, downloaded, copied, or captured.

Use the message options to report harmful or abusive content. Reporting shares that message with AnonPaste for review; it does not reveal unrelated messages in the chat.
