File uploads and AnonDrop

AnonPaste has two file-sharing workflows:

  • File paste — you choose files and share them with other people.
  • AnonDrop — you create a request page and other people send files privately to you.

An account is required to add files on AnonPaste.

  1. Open Upload files.
  2. Drag files into the upload area or choose them from your device.
  3. Add a title or description where useful.
  4. Choose the paste’s privacy, expiry, and download settings.
  5. Create the paste and copy the share link.

You can also add file blocks while building a mixed-content paste.

AnonPaste can show previews for common images, video, audio, and PDF files. Other file types appear as downloads. You can:

  • give a file a clearer name, title, or description
  • choose a main or secondary thumbnail
  • turn downloads off for the paste
  • add extra access checks to individual files when your plan supports them

The available file size, file count, storage, and transfer allowances depend on the paste type and your plan. The upload screen shows the limit that applies before you submit. See the pricing page for current plan limits.

Use AnonDrop when you want other people to send files to you without exposing their submissions to other visitors.

  1. Open Upload files.
  2. Choose Create AnonDrop.
  3. Add a title and explain what you want people to send.
  4. Select the accepted file types and maximum files per submission.
  5. Add any available account, password, or network restrictions.
  6. Create the AnonDrop and share its link.

AnonDrop is not available for encrypted, secret-link, or burn-after-view pastes.

  1. Open the AnonDrop link.
  2. Review the accepted file types and upload guidelines.
  3. Select your files.
  4. Add your name or a note if you want to.
  5. Submit the files and keep the page open until the upload finishes.

Your submission is private to the AnonDrop owner. The owner can view, download, and delete it.

Open the AnonDrop from your account or manage link. From the editor you can:

  • review submissions and their notes
  • download or delete individual files
  • delete a complete submission
  • clear all submissions
  • change accepted file types and restrictions
  • stop accepting new submissions

Files sent to an AnonDrop use the owner’s storage allowance.
