Questions, sliders, and counters
Signed-in creators can add interactive blocks to eligible pastes. These blocks are useful for feedback, simple ratings, and participation without sending readers to a separate form.
Interactive blocks are not available on encrypted, secret-link, or burn-after-view pastes.
Questions
Section titled “Questions”A question collects a written answer from a reader.
When adding the block, choose:
- the question
- an optional hint in the answer box
- Owner only when responses should stay private
- Public after approval when approved answers may appear on the paste
Readers can submit more than one answer. Public answers remain hidden until you approve them.
Sliders
Section titled “Sliders”A slider lets each visitor choose a number within a range. You can set:
- the label or prompt
- minimum and maximum values
- the step between values
- optional labels for the low and high ends
- an optional image
Each account or browser can respond once. After responding, readers can see the combined result.
Counters
Section titled “Counters”A counter is a button that adds to a total. Set its label and choose:
- One per visitor for a single click from each account or browser
- Multiple per visitor when repeated clicks are allowed
The current total appears on the paste.
Review responses
Section titled “Review responses”Open the paste’s manage page to review question answers and see slider or counter results. For public question answers, you can approve, reject, or delete each response.
After the first response, settings that would change the meaning of existing results—such as a slider’s range or a counter’s click mode—can no longer be changed.
