Create a text or mixed paste

Use the full paste creator when you want to share text, code, files, or several kinds of content together. Ordinary text pastes can be created without an account.

For a quick, single text or code share, use a Lite paste. Choose a full paste when you need files, several blocks, interactive content, themes, or detailed sharing controls.

  1. Open Create a paste.
  2. Add a title if you want one.
  3. Write or paste your content into the first text block.
  4. Choose plain text, Markdown, or a programming language.
  5. Add other blocks if needed.
  6. Review the privacy, expiry, and viewer settings.
  7. Create the paste, then copy the share link.

If you create without signing in, also save the manage link. The share link is for readers; the manage link lets you edit or delete the paste.

The creator can combine blocks in any order:

Use the block controls to add, remove, or reorder content. Some blocks require an account or a paste that is not encrypted; the creator will only offer options that work with your current paste. See Content blocks for an overview of every block.

Choose the format that suits the content:

  • Plain text keeps the content simple.
  • Markdown adds headings, lists, links, quotes, tables, and other formatting.
  • Code adds syntax highlighting for the language you select.

Pro users can upload and resize images directly inside the rich text editor.

In a Markdown text block, anyone can also add an image hosted elsewhere with standard image syntax, such as:

![A short description](https://example.com/image.jpg)

The image stays hosted by the linked site. If that site removes or blocks the image, it will no longer appear in the paste.

For a smaller text-only form, use a Lite paste.

You can add documents, images, audio, video, and archives after signing in. Supported images, video, audio, and PDF files can be previewed on the paste. See File uploads and AnonDrop for the full guide.

  • Check that the visibility is appropriate for the content.
  • Add a password or encryption when the content should not be readable from the link alone.
  • Choose an expiry or burn after view when the paste should be temporary.
  • Turn comments or downloads off if you do not need them.
  • Check the current pricing and limits if the creator says that a block, file, or paste exceeds your plan.
