Lite pastes
A Lite paste is the fastest way to share one piece of text or code. It uses a smaller creator with fewer settings than a full paste, and no account is required.
Choose a Lite paste for a quick snippet, note, command, or short Markdown document. Choose a full paste when you want to combine content, add files or interactive blocks, use themes, or control more of the viewer experience.
Create a Lite paste
Section titled “Create a Lite paste”- Open Create a Lite paste.
- Add an optional title.
- Enter your text.
- Choose plain text, Markdown, or a code language.
- Add a password, expiry, or burn-after-view setting if needed.
- Create the paste and copy the share link.
You can also choose whether advertising is allowed on the paste.
Password protection
Section titled “Password protection”Turn on password protection and enter the password readers must use. Send the password separately from the share link.
Expiry and burn after view
Section titled “Expiry and burn after view”- Expiry removes the Lite paste after the selected period.
- Forever keeps it until you delete it.
- Burn after view removes it after its first successful opening.
Do not open a burn-after-view link yourself to test it. Your visit may use the one permitted view.
Manage a Lite paste
Section titled “Manage a Lite paste”Signed-in creators can open Dashboard → Lite pastes to:
- open or copy a share link
- edit the title, content, format, password, expiry, and advertising choice
- delete the Lite paste
Burn-after-view pastes are not opened automatically after creation, which helps prevent the creator from using the one available view.
When to use a full paste
Section titled “When to use a full paste”Use a full paste when you need:
- text, code, and files together
- more than one content block
- polls, questions, sliders, counters, or Tier Lists
- embeds, headings, or separators
- comments, themes, viewer controls, or detailed settings
