AnonTransfer
AnonTransfer is for a quick, live handoff between two devices. It does not create a paste, and no account is required.
Both people must keep AnonTransfer open until the transfer finishes.
Start a transfer
Section titled “Start a transfer”- Open AnonTransfer on the sending device.
- Start a session.
- Share the short connection code or invite link with the other person.
- On the receiving device, open AnonTransfer and join with that code.
- Confirm the connected device, then send text or choose files.
During the transfer
Section titled “During the transfer”- Keep both browser tabs open.
- Wait for each item to finish before closing the page.
- Save received files when your browser asks.
- Only share the connection code with the intended recipient.
The session is temporary. If either person closes the page or the connection is interrupted, reconnect with a new session.
Connection problems
Section titled “Connection problems”Some work, school, mobile, VPN, or restricted networks do not allow two browsers to connect directly. If the devices cannot connect:
- Turn off a VPN temporarily if it is safe to do so.
- Try a different browser or network.
- Keep both devices awake and AnonTransfer visible.
- Use a normal file paste when a direct connection is not possible or the recipient cannot stay online.
AnonTransfer or a file paste?
Section titled “AnonTransfer or a file paste?”- Use AnonTransfer when both devices are online at the same time and you do not need a lasting link.
- Use a file paste when the recipient needs to download later or you want expiry, password, or other access settings.
